Student legal services

The Emory School of Law provides free legal advice to Emory University students, faculty and staff.

If you have a matter that you would like to discuss with someone in the legal profession, Student Legal Service is available to research your problem and help you to obtain legal counsel. You will receive an explanation of the applicable law and advice on the proper course of action, all confidentially. Through this process, Emory Law students (as your case workers) are given the opportunity to develop interviewing and counseling skills while providing this valuable service to the Emory community.

No appointments are necessary-all initial consultation are on a walk-in basis.

The Student Legal Services office is located in the Law School in room G115a. The office is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (closed during summer months). Phone number: (404) 727-6516
