Things you need to know

Prices can vary widely, from company to company, from weekday to weekend, specific dates of pickup and drop-off. It's best to phone at least three companies to make sure that you are getting the most competitive rate. You might also check their websites to see if they're offering any special deals. Here's a sampling of past rates to give you a rough idea of how much renting a car might cost:

Be aware of the other details which affect the cost:

Some companies will give you a mileage limit per day and after you have reached this limit an extra charge per mile may apply. The other option is to obtain unlimited miles.
Generally, if a vehicle is returned with less fuel than when it was rented, an expensive fee per gallon to refuel may apply. Ask the company about this. It's usually cheaper to fill up the tank just before returning the car.
If you rent a car on a day-to-day basis, you have to return it the following day by the time you rented it. After that time an extra fee applies. For example if you rented a car for a day at 10:00 a.m., you have to return it the next day by 10:00 a.m. Ask the company for details.
Some companies will charge you an extra fee if you drop the car off at a different agency location then where it was rented.
Some companies will charge you an extra fee when you rent a car in an airport location.

Take a valid driver's license and your passport.
It is recommended that you purchase the insurance coverage offered in the rental car contract unless you are certain that your auto insurance covers rental cars. Check your policy.
Vehicle is expected to be returned in the same condition in which it was rented.
Most major rental car companies have locations in the airport.
