Mission

The mission of International Student and Scholar Programs is to facilitate global education and cultural exchange at Emory University through services and programs for Emory international students and scholars and the wider community with whom they interact. ISSP recognizes, for itself and for those it serves, the importance of acknowledging and affirming values of personal integrity, responsibility, trust, acceptance of diversity, and respect.

In keeping with the vision of Emory University, ISSP facilitates the recruitment of leading international scholars and teachers, fostering openness and diversity of thought, experience, and culture within the student body through interaction with the global community. ISSP nurtures and celebrates collegiality and community by building unity through respect and appreciation for individual and cultural differences. ISSP creates an educational and cultural bridge between and among Emory international students and scholars, the Emory community, and the broader community of Atlanta, the state of Georgia, and the United States.
