The Office of LGBT Life at Emory serves students, staff, faculty and alumni for Emory University and Emory Healthcare. We're here for you, whether you identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender, as an ally to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, or just as someone who's interested in knowing more about lgbt people and lgbt activities/groups on campus. Come by to talk, browse through our library, and find out what's going on. Highlights of what the Office provides include: lgbt programming throughout the academic year (including the annual Pride Banquet), informal counseling, the Safe Space program, a volunteer Speakers Bureau, speakers/workshops, the LGBT Programming Council and advocacy for lgbt equality in all aspects of the Emory community.
Our office also is a central location for information on sexual orientation; sexuality; lgbt identities; lgbt history and culture; the gay rights movement; lgbt people as parents, as young people and as friends; coming out; lgbt people and religion; lgbt families; same-sex relationships and more! Our lending library includes more than 1,500 books. We also have reference works, periodicals, videos and clippings files.
