My research interests center on behavioral endocrinology, particularly in
regards to the effects of social interaction (e.g. grooming and other forms
of contact) on stress and general health. By extension I am intrigued by the
role that empathy, or more broadly, conciliatory behavior, may play in
facilitating such interactions. I am also intrigued by self-medicating
behavior. Capuchin monkeys both in the wild and captivity are presently my
model in non-invasive explorations of these realms.
