I completed my PhD in the Department of Psychology at Kyoto University in 2008. While a graduate student, I visited Living Links to investigate who perception of others’ desire affects food sharing behaviors in capuchin monkeys.
I am currently a Postdoctral Fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science at Primate Research Institute, Japan. My concern is cooperation and altruism in non-human primates. Currently, with professor Tomonaga, I am focusing on emotional behavioral inclining to social stimuli and communicative abilities, which underlie cooperative and altruistic behaviors in chimpanzees. .
