APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The application for attendance cannot be done via this website. You will need to use e-mail to send your registration and snailmail or bank transfer to submit your payment. Continue reading for more details.
Fee
The Fee (in Euros) is all-inclusive! So, don’t consider this just a registration fee. It covers registration + lodging + meals. The fee also covers a one-day trip to the Greek temple scheduled during the conference. It does not cover your travel to and from Erice.
€500 for Scientists and Postdoctoral Fellows with Ph.D.
€400 for Graduate students
€350 for Undergraduate students
Note: Registered participants accepted to give an oral presentation will pay only half the fee for their category.
Payment method
There are three options for payment.
1) Pay €100 at the time of registration and the rest upon arrival at the conference. You must e-mail a confirmation of your attendance to pierfrancesco.ferrari@unipr.it by May 1st 2009.
2) Pay €50 at the time of registration. The rest must be paid by May 1st, 2009. This will serve to confirm your registration.
3) Pay the entire fee at the time of registration. You will not need to confirm attendance.
Payments may be made via Eurocheques made out to FEMCCS (Fondazione Ettore Majorana Centro di Cultura Scientifica), Traveler’s cheques that have been signed over to FEMCCS, or by international bank transfer.

If a bank transfer is used, please be sure that your name appears on the receipt, which you will be requested to present upon your arrival in Erice.
American participants may also write a check to Dr. FBM de Waal. Checks should be in US dollars, using the exchange rate of the date they are issued. Please note that registration fees are not refundable after May 1st, 2009.
First come – first serve
Participation in the school is limited. Deadline for registration is March 4th, 2009. A limited number of registration slots will be assigned to co-workers of the speakers, which slots will open up after September 1st, 2008, if unfilled. Apart from this, registration will occur in the order in which materials have been received and approved.
Posters and Oral Presentations
Every participant is welcome to submit a title and 300-word abstract for a poster. We will try to accommodate as many posters as we can, rotating them if necessary. Those who indicate on the registration form (pdf) that they would like to give a brief (12 min + 3 min discussion) oral presentation during one of the sessions, will be entered into a competition over 6 slots for such presentations. The 6 selected speakers will be notified in time and receive a 50% reduction in registration fee.

Please, fill out the attached pdf form and include it with your letter. The form asks you to specify your gender for reasons of lodging arrangements.
