The Emory Wheel, Emory University's twice-weekly
student newspaper, provides coverage of campus happenings as well as
events in Atlanta and the nation. The Wheel includes features
of interest to students such as campus news, editorials, movie
reviews, Police Beat, sports, features and Doonesbury and
Dilbert. The Wheel is delivered on Tuesdays and
Fridays. The publication seeks to provide its student staff with
experience in all facets of publication including writing, editing,
photography, production, layout, advertising sales, and business
management. In the past, The Wheel has won the highly coveted
Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Crown Award and the
Associated Collegiate Press National Pacemaker award. In 1996, the
paper won first place in General Excellence in the Georgia Collegiate
Press Association contest and first place in the Best Overall
Newspaper in the Southeast Journalism Conference contest. For more
