The Office of Multicultural Programs & Services sponsors and co-sponsors a number of annual events. Each of these events is designed aid in the development of a community of care at Emory in which all members feel valued and recognize the value of others.
The Flavors of Emory Multicultural Social is a "meet & greet" opportunity for first-year students to connect and network with members of their class in celebration of the diverse Emory community through food, activities, contests, and music.
Restart is an opportunity for students to gather in OMPS in a purely social manner. OMPS student employees and volunteers set the programming for the evenings including but not limited to movies, games, music, dancing, and karaoke.
Multicultural Mondays is a collaboration with the Office of International Student Life and Emory Dining. It is an opportunity for members of the Emory community to share their favorite dishes with the rest of the community as it is prepared and served in the Dobbs Market with the hopes of being as authentic as possible.
Unity Month is a campus-wide celebration of the unity shared as a community represented by the diverse backgrounds and experiences of its members. Students, staff, faculty, and other community members are invited to experience the amazing diversity of Emory.
The Leadership, Service, & Diversity Awards is an annual collaboration with the Office of Student Leadership & Service that recognizing outstanding members of the Emory community who have excelled in the areas of leadership, service, and diversity. This event honors the commitment and efforts of those who contribute to Emory's ethically engaged community of care.
The OMPS End-of-Year Celebration is an open celebration of the completion of another academic year. All community members are invited to attend as OMPS shares highlights from the year and recognizes its amazing student leaders and volunteers.
OMPS is unique in the sense that it offers a home for every type of student.
