Multicultural Mondays is a colalboration of the Office of Multicultural Programs & Services, Sodexo & Emory Dining, and the Office of International Student Life. It is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to share their favorite dishes with the rest of the community. Food is a powerful tool to bring people together and to make people feel comfortable. Through this collaboration, we hope to be able to provide a taste of home for some and new experiences for others.
When a recipe is selected, the talented chefs in the Dobbs Market gather the specified ingredients and carefully follow the instructions submitted by the community member. The chefs prepare a private tasting for the individual who submitted the recipe; that individual may invite a few friends to join in the tasting. During this tasting, attendees are encouraged to provide feedback for the chefs related to taste, authenticity, and presentation. This feedback is taken back to the kitchen to ensure a quality dish is served for each Multicultural Monday.
