Applications

The Office of Multicultural Programs & Services is looking for motivated and committed students to serve as Crossroads Champions. These student leaders will be collectively responsible for supporting the planning, preparation, and execution of the various components of the Crossroads Program: Crossroads Retreat, Crossroads Connect, & Crossroads Direct.

The Crossroads Champion position is a 12-month appointment. Champions are required to participate in at least two of the components of Crossroads. Every Champion is required to co-lead a Crossroads Direct Story Circle. Champions can then elect to be considered to lead activities for the Crossroads Retreat and/or Crossroads Connect.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  • Good conduct and financial standing with Emory University
  • Prior experience with one or more of the components of Crossroads -OR- demonstrated awareness, knowledge, & skills related to leading conversations and facilitating activities about community, identity, and diversity
  • Full-time enrollement as a student of Emory University
  • Available to attend all training activities

Mandatory training for Crossroads Champions will occur Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9:30p. There will also be a mandatory Saturday training as well in the spring. Additional trainings will be scheduled as needed.
