Identify (S) or (R) Enantiomers by NMR Techniques Nomenclature: Put the proton to the back, then name the groups, from the "big" to "small" according to their atomic number. If the rotation (from the big to small group) is clockwise, it is (R). The (S) and (R) have no relationship with the effect of plane-polarized light (-) or (+). Pr(hfc)3 -----Tris[3-(heptafluoropropylhydroxymethylene)-d-camphorato]-praseodymium cause low frequency shifts. Praseodymium Tris[3-(heptafluoropropylhydroxymethylene)-(+)-camphorate |
