How to Use NMR Data Server

On INOVA600, INOVA400 and UNITY+600 (SUN System)

1. Login/passwd

2. Acquire NMR spectrum as usual.

3. To save the spectrum on the server, type "goserver"

Tyep your group ID: your login ID

if you have an own file folder on the server, then cd('your_own_dir')

if you don't have one, then create one by click main --> file--> set directory --> more --> create dir --> type your new dir name.

type pwd to confirm the pass. note, you can create more subdirs under your own dir as you wish.

The full pass should be: /export/home/data_server/your_ID/your_own_dir

type svf('your_NMR_data')

 

On Mercury300, V400 and E400 (VNMRJ system).

1. Login/passwd

2. Acquire NMR spectrum as usual.

3. To save the spectrum on the server, type "goserver"

Tyep your group ID: your login ID

if you have an own file folder on the server, then cd('your_own_dir')

If you don't have one, to create one by place the cursor on the backgroud, hold the right mouse bottom, select file manager, after the window open, click file, select new folder, type the name of the folder. You can create more folders in your sub dir. close the windown by click the dot at the right up corner of the window.

To confirm your pass: type pwd on the command line.

The full pass should be: /media/data_server/your_ID/your_own_dir

type svf('your_NMR_data')

 

To Retrieve the NMR data from your own computer or lab computer:

1. Install the SSH software: download from Emory IT site (search for Software Express) you may need your Emory network ID.

2. download Crossftp-setup-1.75a for PC, or CrossFTP-1.75a-mac for Mac.

3. After installation complete, set the parameters as following:

SFTP/SSH 170.140.188.78 port 22 Use global Setting /media/nmr_data

4. After your computer connected to the server, you will see the name of the instruments. double click the folder relateive to the instrument, you will see your login ID. double click your login ID, your saved files will be located. select the file you want to transfer to your local computer, click the transfer arrow. the file will be delivered to your computer.
