The Live Oak Initiative
The Live Oak Initiative provides incentive for teachers in south Georgia and northern Florida to participate in our program.
  • Grants to support schoolyard investigations and teaching innovations
  • Teacher stipends of $300
  • On-campus housing
  • Funds to cover travel expenses
 
The Live Oak Initiative is supported by the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations.

Participants may commute or housing is available at no cost on the Oxford College campus for those coming from a further distance.

  We encourage pairs of teachers from the same school to apply. Past experience has shown that the support of colleagues assures long-term success in environmental programs.
