Due to this morning's terrorist attacks, and the paralyzing worries they pose for many in our community, Emory has suspended classes for today, Tuesday September 11. Our help session scheduled for this evening is cancelled.

Should classes resume tomorrow, I'll announce in class a delayed help session Wednesday night. The deadline for conceptual questions will be extended for this week only to Friday at 4 pm, when quantitative problems are also due.

However, it's premature now to anticipate whether classes will resume Wednesday. Emory will announce its decision on resuming or cancelling classes by 5 am tomorrow (Wednesday). Call the Emory emergency line, 404-727-1234, after 5 am for final word.

Should Wednesday's classes be cancelled as well, watch this space for further announcements.

I'm certain that we all extend our deepest hopes and support to those impacted by these tragedies, and particularly to our Emory classmates and colleagues who still worry for loved ones.
