Manuscript Development Program
Biography Group

EXPLORE THIS SECTION

This circle of faculty writers from diverse scholarly disciplines began to meet for conversation and exchange of writing in the spring of 2006. While each faculty member is working on a biography or life writing project, the subjects range from poetry to mathematics, music to medicine. The exchange of perspectives across fields often leads to interesting connections and reflections. Common issues around research methods and challenges related to this genre also stimulate discussion. We gather about once a month over lunch or coffee during the academic year.

A very brief summary of the discussion is circulated after each meeting to everyone on our email list, so that those who have to be absent can retain a sense of the flow of the conversation. Those summaries are listed below. For more information, contact Amy Benson Brown at 404.727.5796, or abrow01@emory.edu.
