1) Claire Sterk and Nadine Kaslow are overseeing an effort to look at gender disparity in the promotions and tenure process and in compensation packages.

2) Provost Lewis is working with the Deans to look into the issue of long term Associate Professors. All Deans will prepare a list of Associate Professors who have held that rank in excess of 8 years. Many of these lists have already been forwarded to the Office of the Provost, and all are due by December 1, 2006. The Deans have agreed to review each of these faculty members by the end of the 2007-2008 academic year.
