Robert W. EthridgeRobert W. Ethridge is the Vice President of the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs and Disability Services at Emory University. He serves as Chairperson Emeritus of the Board of Directors of the Emory Federal Credit Union and is a senior officer of the University.

Dr. Ethridge earned his BA and MA degrees in English and Spanish, respectively, at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He received his doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

He has organized and conducted numerous workshop and training program presentations on management, personnel, supervision, law, leadership, civil rights, affirmative action, diversity, cross-cultural communication, preventing sexual harassment, recruitment and retention of black faculty, staff and students, and human relations. He has written several articles and made numerous local, regional and national presentations on these same topics.

Dr. Ethridge has served as a consultant to Rollins College, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Oregon State University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the U. S. Commission on Civil Rights, The Tobacco Institute, the Brown and Williamson Company, the State University of New York, the North Star Borough School District of Fairbanks, Alaska, the Fulton County School District, the Colorado Springs School District, the New York State Department of Education, the New York State Civil Service Commission, the Centers for Disease Control, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Environmental Protection Agency. In 2002, Dr. Ethridge was invited to participate in the Oxford Round Table at St. Anthony’s College, Oxford University. The topic of discussion was human and civil rights with specific reference to discrimination in employment.

Dr. Ethridge belongs to several professional and civic organizations, including the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. - DeKalb County Chapter, Community Friendship, Inc. and Leadership Atlanta. He is the 2006 Rachel B. Noel Distinguished Faculty Member at Metro State College in Denver, Colorado.
