Thomas E Jenkins, PhDDr. Thomas E. Jenkins is Executive Director in the Office of Academic and Strategic Partnerships in Emory University's Office of the Provost.

Tom Jenkins works with faculty and administrators to advance Emory's academic priorities. He also works on the intersection of these priorities with the public, including developing partnerships with other educational and civic institutions and engaging the media.

Tom Jenkins received his B.A. in history from Brown University and his Ph.D. in U.S. history from Yale University. He has taught at Brown, Yale, and Wesleyan Universities. He is the author of "The Character of God: Recovering the Lost Literary Power of American Protestantism", published by Oxford University Press.

Prior to coming to Emory in 2003, Tom Jenkins was Director of Corporation and Foundation Relations and Special Projects at Harvard Divinity School. His previous positions at Emory include Executive Director of Leadership Initiatives and Senior Director of Principle Gifts in Emory's Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
