ATHLETIC AND RECREATION COMMITTEE
To represent the interests of the entire university community in providing advice and oversight for the athletic and recreation programs and facilities at Emory University.

CAMPUS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
This Committee of the University Senate is responsible for giving advice to the Senate and to administration for matters which affect the appearance and function of the campus.

CAMPUS LIFE COMMITTEE
The objective of the Committee on Campus Life is that of promoting collective discussion and information sharing on matters of campus concern with the purpose of creating a stronger sense of community on campus.

COMMITTEE ON THE ENVIRONMENT
The Senate's Committee on the Environment was created in 1990 in response to the growing university need for discussion and action on environmental issues.

FRINGE BENEFITS COMMITTEE
This Committee periodically reviews existing policies relating to fringe benefits of the faculty and staff of Emory University and proposes policy changes and new initiatives.

HONORARY DEGREE COMMITTEE
The Honorary Degrees Committee of the University Senate is comprised of Emory faculty, staff, and students. The committee, which reports to the University Senate, the University president, and the trustees, is charged with reviewing all honorary degree nominations submitted by the Emory community and recommending a slate of candidates representing the highest values and the breadth of the University's mission.

LIBRARY POLICY COMMITTEE
This committee works with the Director of Libraries/Vice Provost to enhance the quality, utility, and accessibility of the Libraries for the entire Emory community.

SAFETY & SECURITY COMMITTEE
The mission of this committee is to pursue, initiate and support safety and security related issues in the effort towards providing the Emory community with a safer and more secure environment.

SENATE DIVERSITY COMMITTEE
The Senate Diversity Committee has the following objectives: (1) to provide a more comprehensive view of the University’s offices and initiatives responsible for strengthening diversity at Emory; (2) to encourage diversity considerations in the formation of all University Senate committees; and (3) to publicize events on campus that have a strong diversity component.

TRANSPORTATION & PARKING COMMITTEE

This Committee, made up of Emory community members, serves as a venue for discussions and presentations regarding parking and transportation issues and reports back to the Emory Senate.
