The Carter Center Liaison Committee played an important role in linking Emory University and the Carter Center prior to the Center becoming part of the university. Now that formal connections have become institutionalized, the need for the committee no longer exists. After consulting staff at the Carter Center, the decision was reached that the committee had become obsolete. A proposal to disbandon the committee was put forward at the last
Faculty Council meeting and tabled by the Chair.
