The Carter Center Liaison Committee had a very productive year. The President invited William Branch and me for a private lunch where President Carter reflected that a University with our endowment should have a more robust reputation. That argument led to the formation of the Committee of the Future of Emory University.
William Branch and I were invited to join the Carter Center Board of Councilors. As a result of the Committees work, President Carter spoke to the faculty in the spring.
