What is MedBuddy-U?

It is the On-Line Communication Tool for Emory Students!

Dear Emory Student:

MedBuddy-U is Emory University Student Health Services’ (EUSHS) 24-hour internet communication tool for students.  This service makes access to healthcare at Emory easier and more convenient for you.

With MedBuddy-U, you will be able to handle many of your healthcare needs right from your room or from any computer in the world with Internet access.

Just think:

  • Personalized answers to your health questions from our EUSHS staff;
  • No more having to wait on hold or play “phone-tag”;
  • Being able to conduct many non-urgent appointments online.

Additional benefits of MedBuddy include:

  • Being able to complete your required Emory Entrance Medical History Form on-line;
  • Requesting an appointment or prescription refill in just seconds;
  • Getting confidential messages and lab results from your EUSHS healthcare provider faster and more conveniently;
  • Total confidentiality, security and HIPAA (the new federal privacy law) compliance;
  • And that’s just the beginning!

All new and transfer Emory students complete their Emory Entrance Medical History forms on-line via MedBuddy-U.

Please be aware that our MedBuddy-U system does not mean that the only way you can communicate with EUSHS is via the internet!  We still love to take your phone calls and talk to you in person!

To complete your Entrance Medical History Form on MedBuddy-U and register to use this confidential communication system, it is important that you now go to the Emory University Student Health Services home web page.  Once there, click on the MedBuddy-U button to register.

MedBuddy-U supports only the following browsers:

Internet Explorer

Netscape Navigator

When you reach the sign in screen and register with MedBuddy-U for the first time, click the “First Time User” button.  Please use your standard Emory Network ID (also called your “User Name”) as your MedBuddy-U ID.  For example, if your name is Jane Doe and your new Emory e-mail address is jdoe@emory.edu, then your Emory Network ID is jdoe.  You will also need to create a MedBuddy-U password.  Please be aware that your password should be kept confidential.  If you share it, others will potentially have access to your personal health information.  In order to complete your required Entrance Medical History, you must answer all questions in red.
