Emory College, Emory Scholars, Film Studies Present International Film Festival Sept. 22-Nov. 17

Emory College will offer a festival of new international films from Sept. 22-Nov. 17 to inaugurate the university's new state-of-the-art facilities following an overhaul of the principle undergraduate teaching spaces in White Hall. Renovations included significant upgrades in audiovisual equipment.

The festival is free and open to the public, but note that several of the films contain adult, sexual content and may not be suitable for younger audience members. Those films are so noted in the complete schedule. The festival will feature award-winning films from Denmark, Cuba, Mexico, Africa, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Mali, Germany and Iran. The complete schedule is available on the Film Studies web site at: www.emory.edu/COLLEGE/FILM.

All films are in 35mm theatrical gauge and will be shown in White Hall, located at 480 Kilgo Circle on the Emory campus. Free visitor parking is available in the Bo Jones lot inside the main gate (at N. Decatur and Oxford roads) and at the Peavine parking deck and lot on Fraternity Row. To view a campus map, go to www.emory.edu/MAP. For more information, call the Film Studies Program at 404-727-0589 or go to their website.
