Emory University Commencement May 14 For 3,200+ Graduates


Atlanta, Ga. For the first time, this year's Emory University graduates will hear brief speeches from the honorary degree recipients at commencement on Monday, May 14. In addition, Deborah Lipstadt, Dorot Professor of Holocaust and Jewish Studies at Emory, was selected by students from the class of 2001 to give an address at the 8 a.m. ceremony.


Lipstadt added as fifth speaker


Atlanta, Ga. President Bill Chace announced that Deborah Lipstadt, Dorot Professor of Modern Jewish and Holocaust Studies and director of the Institute for Jewish Studies, will address the 2001 class of graduates and their guests at Emory’s 156th Commencement on May 14.


Emory Commencement May 14 To Feature Four Honorary Degree Recipients As Speakers


Atlanta, Ga. Emory University's 156th commencement will feature not just one keynote speaker, but four—each of the four honorary degree recipients will speak at the ceremony at 8 a.m. Monday, May 14.
