Emory Professor Kenneth Stein Recognized for 25 Years of Accomplishments in International Studies

Professor Kenneth W. Stein is the recipient of Emory University's 2002 Marion V. Creekmore Award, given in recognition of 25 years of service to the internationalization of the university. Stein is known for his outstanding scholarship and promotion of Middle Eastern studies.

Halle Institute Brings German Journalist, Novelist to Atlanta

Atlanta, Ga. Emory's Claus M. Halle Institute for Global Learning welcomes Berlin-based novelist and journalist Peter Schneider to campus March 18-April 5 as its 2002 Distinguished Fellow. Schneider will give a series of public lectures, including "September 11 and Its Aftermath: Media and Collective Conscience in Germany" at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21.
