| Emory is engaged in a comprehensive effort to internationalize its curriculum and culture to foster greater international awareness, expand international exposure and connections, and increase international scholarship and service. | ![]() | ||||
In transferring new technology from the laboratory to the marketplace, Emory researchers generate millions of dollars in income per year, much of which can be invested back into their work. More important, in so doing they also bring new products to bear on improving the health of patients. Scientists at Emory are enriched by collaborations with kindred spirits at the neighboring Centers for Disease Coantrol and Prevention, The Carter Center, and Georgia Tech. Emory researchers brought in a record $164.9 million of research funding in 1998. The University's research income has tripled in the last decade. Emory's research endeavor gets a major boost from the Georgia Research Alliance, a nonprofit, public-private partnership of research universities, business, and state government. | |||||
