
Formerly known as CD-PLUS Technologies, Ovid Technologies is the vendor who provides the searching interfaces for the biomedical databases used by the Emory HSC. Although commonly referred as to Ovid ("Ah-Vid"), there are specific databases within the Ovid Search interface which all Emory faculty, staff, all Emory graduate students, and Emory affiliates can search.
OVID Web Gateway, which is graphically based, is Emory's primary interface. For more information you can either contact the Reference Department at 404-727-5813 or contact the HSCL Information Desk at 404-727-8727.

Produced by the American Association of Retired Persons, AgeLine provides bibliographic reference for materials related to aging and middle age.
AIDS information Online provides comprehensive coverage of research, clinical and policy issues about AIDS.
Includes citations from publications devoted to ethical issues in biomedical research and clinical areas.
Covers all areas of cancer research including therapy, etiology and carcinogenesis, biochemistry, immunology and physiology.
Cumulated Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature database provides comprehensive coverage of the journal literature related to nursing and allied health disciplines.
A major biomedical database indexing over 3500 international journals including clinical sciences, drug information, health policy and management, and environmental health.
The Best Evidence Collection consists of two journals - ACP Journal Club, and Evidence-Based Medicine. The editors screen the top clinical journals on a regular basis and identify studies that are both methodologically sound and clinically relevant. They write an enhanced abstract of the chosen articles and provide a commentary on the value of the article for clinical practice.
Includes the full text of the regularly updated systematic reviews of the effects of healthcare prepared by the Cochrane Collaboration.
Produced by Behavioral Measurement Database Services, HAPI is a database of measurement instruments which includes questionnaires, checklists, index measures, rating scales, project techniques, tests, interview schedules, and a variety of other means of evaluation.
Cites literature on health care administration policy, planning and economics, as well as health service research, clinical practice guidelines, and health care technology assessment.
A worldwide database covering pharmaceutical science and health related literature; includes drug therapy, toxicity, pharmacy practice, legislation, regulation, technology and a variety of other topics related to pharmaceutical science and practice.
Journals@Ovid is a database of hundreds of full text scientific, technical and medical journals. The Health Sciences Center Library at Emory University has subscribed to over 96 of these in full text, although users can access bibliographic information for all the journals.
