Ovid Instructions for Remote Access

OVID is the Health Sciences Center Library's program for searching the biomedical literature. Available through OVID is AIDSLINE, BioethicsLine, CancerLit, Cinahl, EMBASE, EBM Reviews-Best Evidence, EMB Reviews-Cochran Database of Systematic Reviews, Health and Psychosocial Instruments (HAPI), HealthStar, International Pharmaceutical Abstracts (IPA), Journals@Ovid, Medline, and PsycINFO.
EmoryOnline Software (formerly EmoryConnect) is the standardized communications software used by Emory University. PLEASE NOTE: You must have an Eagle/Dooley account to use the EmoryOnline software. There are two options for obtaining it:

• *Go to the back of the computer lab in Cox Hall and obtain a CD ROM which contains EmoryOnline for both the Mac and PC, a virus protection program, Netscape, OPUS, and LearnLink. The software is is free with an Emory ID- without ID, it is $8.00.

• The number to dial in to Emory's modem bank is 404-727-4000.

  Additional Notes regarding EmoryOnline

  EmoryOnline no longer supports Windows 3.1. If you have a computer with Windows 3.1, you must upgrade to Windows95 or higher to use the EmoryOnline software.
  You can call Software Distribution at 404-727-4741 or 404-727-7777 after 5pm to arrange to pick up the software between 5pm and Midnight at Cox Hall Computer Lab. They will hold the software for you there. Bring your Emory ID.
