In learning, there are no boundaries. Emory’s reach is wide, and we are proud to sponsor people and programs that touch the world. We have centers and programs of study devoted to many parts of the world, among them the Institute for Developing Nations and the Global Health Institute. We are honored that Emory alumni live and work in many nations, including the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, Japan and Germany. In addition, each year, an Emory faculty member is recognized for excelling in the advancement of Emory’s commitment to internationalization.
We are equally honored to have the world come to us in the form of guest lecturers, visiting professors, artists in residence and international students. We have welcomed to our campus the author Salman Rushdie, South African justice Richard Goldstone, the German writer Susan Stern, the Dalai Lama, Nobel Prize–winner Gunter Blobel, Latin Grammy Award–winner David Sanchez and many others.
