Group Visits

Thank you for your interest in visiting Emory University. For groups of 10 or more students/visitors in grades 8 – 12, we offer a campus tour and information session. To schedule your group visit, please complete the Group Visit Request Form.

Requests must be submitted at least four weeks in advance. Group tours are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Submission of the group visit request form does not secure a visit. Please allow at least 7 business days for processing. You will receive a confirmation email once your schedule has been finalized.

Group visits are available most weekdays throughout the year. Please note we are unable to offer group visits during the month of April due to an increase in the volume of visitors to our campus. As well, group visits are not offered in the month of December due to student exam schedules and winter break. We do not offer group visits on weekends or during University closings and national holidays.

Campus Tour

Our campus tour is a 75-minute walking tour led by a current student. The typical group campus tour includes a view of the Quadrangle, main library, computing lab, main student center/dining hall, gym, and various academic buildings. All participants should have comfortable footwear and come prepared for the possibility of inclement weather. We do not cancel tours for inclement weather.

Information Session

In addition to the tour, a 60-minute information session is optional, depending on your request. The information session includes Emory University history, information about academics, advising, student life, and the admission process.

Check-in Procedures

All groups are expected to arrive at the Admission office 10- 15 minutes before the scheduled visit to allow adequate time to sign in. Late-arriving groups may not be able to participate in all scheduled activities. Due to ongoing construction at Emory and traffic in the Atlanta area, please allow for extra travel time. Please call 404.727.6036 if you are running late. We cannot hold visit appointments for more than fifteen (15) minutes beyond the scheduled time out of respect to the tour guides and the admission staff.

Grades K-7

For groups with students in grades K-7, we offer a scavenger hunt and self-guided tour. These options do not require registration. Please print our scavenger hunt and self-guided tour before coming to campus – there is no need to check-in with the Office of Admission. After you are done exploring campus, make sure to check your answers with our answer key
