Study Abroad

Percentage of students study abroadIf a liberal arts education is meant to broaden the mind and the scope of experience by creating better thinkers and communicators, it stands to reason that a strong Study Abroad program is an important part of this type of education. Immersing yourself in an unfamiliar culture and learning new customs, languages and systems deepens your understanding of others—and yourself. Regardless of your major, at Emory you’re given the opportunity to participate in courses abroad that translate into credit here. Our Center for International Programs Abroad (CIPA) offers more than 100 opportunities in 50 countries. The programs encompass service-learning opportunities, summer programs and programs during the school year.
