Double Major: Sociology and Journalism
“Emory’s prestige was an important factor in my decision to apply, because it was important to me to attend a good and reputable institution. I planned to major in journalism, which offers a co-major. That means I can combine it with any other subject, making my degree unique.
“While I grew up with different racial and ethnic groups, I had never interacted with them until Emory. I now proudly tell my friends and family back home that while I do have Indian friends at Emory, my closest friends are Caucasian, African American and Hispanic, and hail from countries like Korea and Pakistan.”
