Advising and Support Services

Academics

As you might expect at a college with an international reputation and standards such as Emory’s, course work at Emory College is rigorous and challenging. But thanks to the academic support at students’ fingertips, it’s not daunting. We offer academic advising, major and minor advising and learning programs such as supplemental instruction sessions, roundtables and even free one-on-one peer tutoring. Peer tutors are chosen for their academic excellence and based on faculty recommendations. These are just some of the ways we collaborate toward student success.

Career Center

The Career Center at Emory is an invaluable resource for students as they prepare for life after graduation. Each of our counselors is an expert in specific disciplines and is therefore well-versed in the skills required for success and the job opportunities available in those fields.

The center facilitates on-campus recruiting, hosts sessions on resume building and interview preparation and invites alumni to come speak to students about their professions.

Active Alumni Network

The Emory Alumni Association (EAA) is one of the strongest networks you’ll find anywhere and it helps keep Emory alumni connected to the school and to each other. The EAA hosts faculty speakers, networking and professional gatherings and social events on campus and in more than 40 cities around the world. Career mentoring, world travel and access to a network of more than 110,000 fellow alumni are available through EAA.
