Focus/responsibilities at the Center

My role at the Center covers development, validation and optimization of various assays, as well as the adaptation of assays for HTS robotics. I am also responsible for compound management, maintenance and operation of HTS equipment, data analysis and inventory management. I work closely with colleagues and assay providers throughout the primary and secondary screening process. My goal is to identify novel, small molecular probes for research or potential drug development.

Educational/professional background

I received my Masters degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Boston University. Prior to joining Emory, I worked for three years as a biologist at Southern Research Institute’s High Throughput Screening Center.
