Focus/responsibilities at the Center
I am responsible for designing, constructing, implementing, and maintaining the network and computing infrastructure of the center. I am also responsible for the bioinformatics section of the center which consists of the following:
a) Creating a virtual compound and plate inventory that, in parallel, tracks the state, location, and replications of our physical compound library and is linkable via barcode.
b) Performing inventory linked reformatting and statistical analysis of biological -high-throughput screening (HTS) and high-content screening (HCS) data and presenting those results, along with the "HIT" or "NO HIT" designation for each compound, to the biologists and chemists for review and secondary analysis
c) Working with biologists and PubChem depositors to publish HTS or HCS screening results to PubChem and ensure that assay descriptions, references, and data are consistent.
