Baccalaureate Service

Baccalaureate

The Baccalaureate tradition is an integral part of Commencement exercises, marking the end of a student's undergraduate years. Emory's Baccalaureate is an inter-religious service with prayers, readings and music from various religious traditions. Baccalaureate is for all students receiving bachelor's degrees (BA,BS,BSN,BBA) and their guests. Students in caps and gowns assemble on the Quadrangle near the Administration Building at 8:30 a.m. and follow marshals and the bagpiper to Glenn. In case of rain, graduates should go directly to Fellowship Hall of the Church School Building behind Glenn Auditorium. For the service, guests should park in the Fishburne Parking Deck. Those attending the Mother's Day Commencement brunch may then walk or ride the shuttle to the Brunch. Shuttles are also available for the President's Open House.
