 Kick off Commencement Weekend with Senior Class tradition, Class Day Crossover! Get ready to gather and celebrate one last time as the undergraduate Class of 2025. Start the evening with a Senior reception at the DCT, then head over to the MPR to enjoy senior awards and be inspired by the student-selected Class Day speaker. As the sun sets, relish in the traditional Candlelight Crossover procession where hundreds of alumni, trustees, faculty, and staff will cheer you on as you cross over from a student to an alum of Emory University. The night ends with fun, food, music, and an unforgettable party on McDonough Field you won’t want to miss!

Join us for an exclusive pre-reception with alumni, faculty, staff, and members of the Emory community before we gather to cheer on the Class of 2025 during the Crossover procession. The Emory University School of Medicine MD Diploma Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. EST at Glenn Memorial Auditorium. Additional guests, family, and friends will have the opportunity to share in the activities via a live (and on-demand) webcast of the ceremony https://med.emory.edu/commencement. The Diploma Ceremony will feature remarks by TBD. Graduating students attending in-person will be individually recognized during the ceremony. The Papageorge Teaching Award will be presented, and recipients will be recognized. Graduating students must officially register themselves and their guests to attend the ceremony. Registration must be completed through the Marching Order Portal. Reception to follow ceremony at Emory School of Medicine, Main Lobby.

The Baccalaureate Luncheon is an opportunity for the Emory University Chaplaincy to honor graduating students who have been leaders in spiritual, religious and interfaith life during their time at Emory and to reflect on and give thanks for their journeys as they become alumni. A list of student awardees are invited and other graduates are welcome to join.

The Emory University School of Medicine, Genetic Counseling Training Program Diploma Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM EST in the School of Medicine, Room 110 on the Emory main campus. The Diploma ceremony will feature remarks by TBD. The ceremony will also include award presentations for the “Genetic Counseling Student of the Year”, The “Paul M. Fernhoff Excellence in Teaching Award”, and the “Best Student Research Poster”. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in the Main Lobby. Students will need to submit guest numbers to MarieAnge Charlestin at gcprogram@emory.edu by TBD.

Graduating students who have a parent, grandparent, sibling or spouse who is also an Emory graduate are honored at this event hosted by the Emory Alumni Association. Invitation only.

The Chamber Music Society concludes our 32nd season with our annual Cherry Emerson Memorial Alumni Concert featuring some of the finest musical graduates of the Emory Music Department and a graduating senior including Carol Xu & Christy Song, violins; Siji Osunkoya, viola; and Andrew Choi, cello performing a one-hour program of Dvorak, Torelli, and Dohnanyi. Sunday, May 11th at 1:30 in Emerson Concert Hall at the Schwartz Center.

Free - no registration is required. Free parking available next to the Schwartz Center in Fishburne deck.

The Emory College of Arts and Sciences will hold two Honors Ceremonies this year. Ceremony #2 for Honors Students in the humanities, arts, and social sciences (except Anthropology and Human Health) will occur on Sunday, May 2025, at 5:30 PM in Glenn Memorial Church. Each honors candidate will receive two (2) tickets for family and friends via Tassel. Thesis advisors and honors candidates themselves will not need a ticket to enter.

• To maximize guest seating, the Emory College of Arts and Sciences will host two separate diploma ceremonies in the WoodPEC:
  • The first ceremony is for Bachelor of Arts candidates at 8:00 a.m. and will encompass the university-wide ceremony elements, including the Commencement speaker.
  • The second ceremony is for Bachelor of Science candidates at 10:30 a.m.
  • Emory College students will now be limited to three guest tickets per graduate. Students will receive emails with their assigned ceremony/arrival time and instructions for how to retrieve their new guest tickets.

• Each of these ceremonies will be live-streamed beginning at 8:00 a.m.

The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing Degree Candidate Recognition Ceremony will take place on Monday, May 12th at 11:00 a.m EST at the Emory University Student Center. A livestream option will be available. The ceremony will be hosted by Dean Linda McCauley and will feature remarks from student speakers. All graduates will be individually recognized in-person at the SON Diploma Ceremony.

A reception will take place immediately following the ceremony at the School of Nursing. Tickets are not required for the reception. All graduate guests are welcome to attend.

Goizueta events are not ticketed and have no guest limit, but do require completion of a registration form to gather important details.

Graduates and their guests proceed from the Quadrangle to the BBA Diploma ceremony at the Woodruff PE Center. Following the Diploma Ceremony, a reception will follow at approximately 12:00 p.m. at the Goizueta Business School, Patterson Green.

Dangerous weather: This ceremony will move to 1:00 p.m. in the same location.

Emory’s Medical Imaging Program Diploma Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. in Cannon Chapel. A reception will precede the ceremony in Brooks Commons.
