The Center for Lifelong Learning, Emory University's department of non-credit adult education, extends Emory's ideal of the learning community beyond the core partnership of faculty and degree-seeking students by providing learning experiences to our neighbors. As guests on the campus, our students gain a personal experience of Emory University.
Our premise is that the love of learning should be a lifelong passion. Emory Center for Lifelong Learning serves self-motivated students; offering them the opportunity to learn for the value of that learning; to empower, ennoble, and enrich their lives.
Emory University's mission lies in two essential, interwoven purposes: through teaching, to help men and women fully develop their intellectual, aesthetic, and moral capacities; and through the quest for new knowledge and public service, to improve human well-being. These purposes rest upon the premises that education is the most powerful social force of our time for enabling and ennobling the individual, and that the privilege of education entails an obligation to use knowledge for the common good.

The Emory University School of Medicine Office of Continuing Medical Education (OCME), in accordance with the mission of the School of Medicine, will lead and facilitate the development of outstanding educational activities for an audience of physicians, other health care professionals, patients and our community. These activities will advance the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease and encourage the continued professional development of the health care provider. They will be presented through traditional, live conferences, ongoing rounds, internet CME, procedure-oriented programs, individual fellowships and enduring materials.
