Emory Farmers Market

The Emory University Farmers Market began June10, 2008, with 7 vendors and a lively crowd on the Cox Hall Bridge.  Its hours are 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and it will run on Tuesdays until  Thanksgiving, and will re-open in early Spring.

The market features fresh, local produce, organic and sustainably produced meat, bread, cheese, honey and other artisan products.  The market is open to everyone, and sometimes features music and chef demos.  Emory Farmers Market is sponsored by the Sustainable Food Initiative in cooperation with Emory Dining.

The purpose of the market is to offer delicious, healthy, and convenient food choices to the Emory community.  The market is also a weekly gathering place where the Emory community can interact with and support Georgia farmers, and expand their knowledge about healthy eating and sustainable production systems. The market also provides the ideal space for consumers to establish a relationship with the people who grow their food, which is a component of a local, sustainable food system.

The market will continue until the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.  Bring your market bag, some dollar bills, and enjoy the delicious bounty of fresh, local, seasonal produce.  Please support our local farmers and become a loyal customer!
