  Emory Card

Welcome to Emory University.  There is a lot of information you need to know as a First Year Studnet at Emory, a Continuing Studnet from Oxford or Transfer Student form another university, before you ever arrive on campus.  Parents have just as much information that they need to know.

This New Student Orientation section of the Emory Dining web site is designed to give you all of that information. It can be used as a quick reference guide and starting point to navigate you to the information you are looking for.

Before you begin there are a couple of federal and university policies you should be aware of.  Please click on the following links and familiarize yourself with these policies.

So what do I need first?  What shows people I am an Emory student?  How do I get into places and how do I eat?  The answers to all those questions are in EmoryCard.

  • YOU MUST SEND IN A PICTURE

You can't get a card without a picture.  If you send in your picture ahead of time, Freshman will have their card waiting for them when they check into their dorm.  Transfer Students will have their card waiting fro them at the EmoryCard Office.  If you don't send in a picture you will have to come to the EmoryCard office when you arrive on campus to have your picture taken and card created.  This may take some time.  This will delay your ability to get in and out of your dorm and access Dining at Dobbs.

Your First Photo will tell you how to send in your picture today!!!!

Eagle Dollars are just like cash - dollar for dollar. This is money you add to your EmoryCard for additional campus spending. Your Eagle Dollars are accepted anywhere on campus that accepts the EmoryCard. This includes all on-campus Emory Dining locations, bookstores, vending and laundry machines, health and parking services.

Emory Dining

Emory Dining has two anchor locations, Dining at Dobbs, an all you care to eat buffet style restaurant and Cox Hall Food Court, an a la cart quick service dining experience.

As a Freshman or First Year Student at Emory, your meal plan is Plan A.  If you require a Kosher or Halal dient it would be Plan K.  Both plans are a combination of entries to Dining at Dobbs and Dooley Dollars that can be used to make purchases at all on campus locations. All you need to know about your meal plan is at First Year Students.

As a Transfer Student you may select any meal plan based on your academic standing in school. Sophomores are limited to Second Year Students Dining Plans.  Upperclassman can choose from any Dining Plan.
