The EmoryCard is a debit and access identification card.
For Students the EmoryCard holds your meal plan and grants you access into the Oxford Dining Hall as well as retail purchases around campus using Dooley Dollars.
Everyone with an EmoryCard, when using Eagle Dollars, can make purchases of products and services both inside and outside of the dining areas.
Everyone is granted access to various facilities and rooms on campus using your EmoryCard, including Student access to the residence halls. This access is based on the approval given to you by that facility. Common university area access, such as the Oxford College Library and the Woodruff Library at Emory, is automatically granted to all.
Students will be required to use their cards at the library to check out books.
Student ID Cards
First Year undergraduate students will be issued your EmoryCard during Freshman Orientation. This is provided you send your picture in ahead of time to Your First Photo. If you don't send in your picture ahead of time, your ID will not be waiting for you and receipt of your new card will be delayed.
Dining Plans
As a resident student, your Dining Plan selection was made at the time you submitted your housing application. The number of meals you selected will be on your EmoryCard. You will be required to present the EmoryCard for your meals at the Oxford Dining Hall and the account will be accessed whenever you enter for your all-you-care-to-eat meal service.
Dooley Dollars and Eagle Dollars
Dooley Dollars are an enhancement to your Dining Plan that gives you the flexibility of eating meals outside of the main cafeteria . Dooley Dollars work like a debit account on your EmoryCard with purchases automatically deducted from the balance on the account. Dooley Dollars can be used to make purchases at the Ox Grill or the Student Center Coffee Bar. Your Dooley Dollars roll over from the fall to spring semester, but they do not roll over to the next academic year.Eagle Dollars are just like cash - dollar for dollar. This is money you add to your EmoryCard for additional campus spending. Your Eagle Dollars are accepted anywhere on campus that accepts the EmoryCard. This includes The OX, the Student Center Coffee Bar, the Library copier, various campus printer locations, the campus Bookstore and at all Emory campus locations that accept the EmoryCard. When used at on-campus Emory Dining locations you will receive a 5% discount.
Eagle Dollars not only roll over from the fall to spring semester, but they roll over to the next academic year. Eagle Dollars continue to roll over and stay with you until graduation or leaving the university and are refunded to you at that time.
For more on Eagle Dollars go to EmoryCard.
Check Your Balance
At YOUR ACCOUNTS you can see exactly where your Dooley and Eagle Balances stand.
Making a Deposit
The preferred and best method to make a deposit is by an ACH bank or check transfer through your OPUS account. Login to OPUS, Select "Finances", and then select "Make EmoryCard Deposit". The deposit will be posted to your Eagle Account within 60 minutes.
You may also go in person to the Oxford College Financial Services Office on the 1st floor of Seney Hall, Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., deposit cash in the automatic deposit machine in the library, or mail a check and include an EmoryCard deposit form.
Bookstore
Use your Eagle Dollars on the Oxford Campus at the Bookstore to purchase textbooks and other items. It's faster and more convenient than cash or credit cards. The average cost and supplies for all incoming freshmen taking a full course load is $500 per semester.
The actual cost for supplies and books may vary and so we recommend an initial deposit of $1000 to the Eagle Account.
Lost Card Policy
If you lose your card, immediately go to the Web Center and select "DEACTIVATE CARD."
Additionally, you can request a replacement card at Express Card Replacement Order. You will receive an email when your card is ready for pick-up at the Oxford EmoryCard office in Seney Hall room 107. You will be assessed at $25 non-refundable replacement fee from your EmoryCard Eagle Dollars. To put money on your EmoryCard, see “Making a Deposit” above. We will invalidate your card to protect your money when you report your card lost, however you will be responsible for cash balances on your card until you report it stolen.
