Welcome to the Emory Emeritus College Website!

Emeritus College Offices have moved!

Please note that as one of many exciting changes to come for the EC, our offices have moved. You can now visit us at Suite 302 in the Administration Building, conveniently located across the street from the B. Jones Building and their Visitor Parking lot! You may continue to reach us at the same phone number (404.712.8834) and email addresses. We have posted a map for your convenience.

The Emeritus College of Emory University was established in 2001 to "enhance the relationship between the university and its emeritus faculty for the benefit of Emory's educational mission as well as for the greater welfare of its emeriti and of the wider community."

For the first two years, the EC operated as a pilot project endorsed by the Faculty Council and funded by the Provost's Office (PDF version of initial proposal).

Under the direction of Dr. Eugene Bianchi, Emeritus Professor of Religion, we have since been given permanent status as a line item on the University budget and continue to grow and add new projects every year.

We invite you to explore the links to the left to learn more about our programs and how we are seeking to fulfill our mission. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments.

Enjoy your visit!

Next Writers' Group Assignment

The next Writers' Group meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17th at 2 pm, in our usual room, the big conference room in Building A of the Briarcliff Campus (technically Room 2-195). Each month we gather and discuss the writing of group members. If you are interested in attending, please submit a sample of your work, on a topic of your choosing, by email to the participants in the group. For more information, please contact Rhonda Dubin.
