Who We Are

About Us

The Emeritus College of Emory University was established in 2001 to "enhance the relationship between the university and its emeritus faculty for the benefit of Emory's educational mission as well as for the greater welfare of its emeriti and of the wider community."

For the first two years, the EC operated as a pilot project endorsed by the Faculty Council and funded by the Provost's Office (PDF version of initial proposal), and the Emeritus College continues to grow and add new projects every year. The Emeritus College staff works in conjunction with an active Executive Committee, which has current members drawn from emeritus and active Emory Faculty of all academic units of the University.

We invite you to explore the links to the left to learn more about our programs and how we are seeking to fulfill our mission. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments.
