Duncan L. Niederauer, the CEO of NYSE Euronext, parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), is one of the world's leading experts in electronic trading.

He joined the NYSE in 2007, following twenty-two years at Goldman Sachs. On September 2, 2009, the NYSE's closing bell was rung from Jenkins Courtyard outside Goizueta Business School. That was the first time the bell tolled from a university campus and the first time ever in Georgia. In the front row of ringers stood Niederauer.
