Founder, Good Samaritan Health Center

Four generations of Warrens have attended Emory, and the family traces its roots back to the University's very beginning. William Warren IV is the fourth generation, and he filled his family's very large shoes superbly.
A pediatrician, Warren walked away from his practice and in 1998 founded the nonprofit Good Samaritan Health Center, which provides health care to impoverished Atlantans. In 2009, Good Samaritan moved from its modest, former-warehouse beginnings near Centennial Olympic Park to a new facility in northwest Atlanta staffed by thirty paid employees and several hundred volunteers, including Emory medical students and physician assistants in training.
