Ways to Give

Investing in Emory has never been easier. You may use a credit card, check, money order, electronic funds transfer, or even give appreciated stock or other real property. See the giving overview below or contact one of our development staff members for more information.

Give Online Today

Emory University uses a third-party vendor to secure online credit card gifts. The security certificate is registered with that vendor, so please note that if you receive a security warning, it simply reflects the two names on the certificate. Giving to Emory online is safe and convenient. To make your gift online, visit our secure giving page. If you don't see the specific direction or fund you'd like to support, choose "Other" and specify your preference in the accompanying field.

Give by Mail

If you prefer to send a gift through standard mail, you may do so by printing a gift form (PDF) and sending it with your check to:Office of Gift Records Emory University 1762 Clifton Road Suite 1400MS: 0970-001-8AA Atlanta, GA 30322-4001.

Give by Phone

Emory's development staff members would be delighted to discuss your giving options or take your gift over the phone. To speak to the appropriate representative, visit the development contact page on this web site.

Give by Electronic Funds Transfer

You can support Emory without ever writing another check. Through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), you can spread the cost of your support over the course of a year by authorizing your bank to transfer to Emory a monthly amount you've predetermined. You might already use EFT to pay your mortgage, insurance, or auto loans and know how simple and secure it is. Be assured that your account will only be accessed for this purpose and for the amount that you have chosen. All personal information will be held in the strictest confidence.

To support Emory through EFT, simply print the EFT form (PDF), fill it out, and send it with a voided check to: Office of Gift Records, Electronic Funds Transfer Administrator, Emory University, 1762 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA 30322-4001.

Make a Matching Gift

Does your employer (or your spouse's employer) have a matching gift program? If so, you can ask your company to match your support for Emory. You can double or even triple the value of your donation simply by notifying your employer of your gift. Emory maintains a database of many matching gift companies. You may need to provide Emory’s Employer Identification Number (EIN) on the form. That number is 58-0566256. To see if your company is listed, click here

Give Securities

Making a gift of securities offers you the chance to help Emory while realizing many important benefits for yourself. A stock portfolio is often among the most valuable assets you own, and one that carries substantial capital gain—appreciation in value. With careful planning, you can reduce or even avoid federal capital gains tax. Emory's Office of Gift Planning can show you how charitable giving may be one of your best defenses. Call 404.727.8875 for details. Or visit gift planning on the web.

Give Through Your Estate

You also may invest in Emory with a bequest or life income gift, which can provide for you and your family, create tax benefits, and leave an important legacy for education, research, patient care, or community service at Emory. Call the Office of Gift Planning at 404.727.8875 for more information. Or visit gift planning.

Give Mutual Funds or Stock

Emory's Controller's Office can help you make a gift of mutual fund shares, closely held stock, or other forms of stock. You can complete the linked form to transfer your gift to Emory. Call 404.727.2847 or email stockgifts@emory.edu for more information.

For Emory Employees

Payroll deduction is one of the easiest, fastest, and most convenient ways that Emory employees can make a gift. By signing in to PeopleSoft and selecting "MyEmory" under Self Service, you can specify the amount you would like automatically deducted from each paycheck and where your support should be designated.

Give by Donor-Advised Fund

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite causes. DAF Direct enables you to recommend grants to Emory University directly from your DAF (as long as your DAF’s sponsoring organization is participating). Using the DAF Direct widget located here, you can initiate a DAF grant recommendation from our website.
