Parking & Transportation

Emory's main campus, covering more than 600 acres, features a pedestrian-only core.
The university promotes numerous alternative transportation options:
- Cliff, a private shuttle system that provides free transportation around the main, Briarcliff and Clairmont campuses, and serves commuters from designated neighborhoods
- Bike Emory, which serves commuter cyclists and operates a free bicycle sharing service on campus
- ZipCar, a car sharing program
- carpool and vanpool opportunities
- Guaranteed Ride Home, through the Atlanta Regional Commission
- incentives to walk, cycle or try other alternative commuting methods
Students, faculty and staff may register personal vehicles for a fee to park on campus. Visitor parking lots are designated in convenient locations.
The university strives to reduce traffic congestion in and around campus by working actively with neighborhood groups, including the Clifton Corridor Transportation Management Association and the Clifton Community Partnership.
