Nancy Seideman is Associate Vice President for University Communications and Executive Director of the Office of University Media Relations. In her role, Seideman oversees university media relations, the faculty-staff newspaper, Emory Report, the university's news web site, and plays a key communications role in issues management and crisis communications. In her 19 years at Emory, Seideman has held several managerial communications positions. Seideman and her media team members have received national and regional CASE awards for their work in strategic communications programs, media promotion and news writing.  

Seideman is active in Emory's nationally recognized environmental initiatives. She is former President of Friends of Emory Forest, and was appointed by Emory's president to serve on two university-wide committees to determine how to implement a comprehensive environmental policy, and to develop a management system for the university's preserve, Lullwater.
 
Before joining Emory in 1990, Seideman served as national media manager for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and worked in hospital public relations in Boston and San Francisco.  
 
Seideman received a bachelor of arts degree in communications at Simmons College, and completed post-graduate courses in medical writing and political reporting at Boston University.

Elaine Justice has been a media relations professional in higher education for more than two decades. As associate director of media relations at Emory University, she works with the central university and a broad range of faculty and professional schools to promote Emory's reputation and initiatives to the national media.

A graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia with an undergraduate degree in English, Justice did graduate work in journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After brief stints reporting for the Daily Press in Newport News, Va., and the Greensboro News-Record and Raleigh News & Observer in North Carolina, Justice landed at her alma mater, William and Mary, serving as the director the college's news office for more than a decade.

Justice is a member of the Religion Communicators Council and the winner of numerous CASE awards, including the Gold Medal Circle of Excellence Award for Specific News and Information Programs.

As associate director of University Media Relations, Clark is responsible for promoting faculty research, programs and events across the humanities, sciences and campus life. She serves as the primary media contact for campus/student life and the sciences within Emory College. Clark also manages all media relations duties for Emory's annual commencement ceremony.

Clark joined Emory in 2001 from Georgia State University, where she worked as a writer and editor for various publications. Previously, she was a news reporter for the Athens Daily News and Banner-Herald in Athens, Ga.

A native of Charleston, S.C., Clark is a graduate of the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism.

As media relations coordinator, Jill Hennecy manages the News & Events web site, including technical and content-related updates and provides administrative support to the media relations team.  

Before joining Emory in July 2004, Hennecy was a marketing coordinator and office manager for a pre-employment screening agency in Atlanta, an English teacher in the Czech Republic and corporate communications coordinator for an insurance brokerage firm in San Francisco.

She received a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va.

As editor of Emory Report, Kim Urquhart manages the production of Emory University’s weekly faculty/staff publication that highlights community accomplishments and endeavors that reflect the university’s strategic vision. She is responsible for all aspects of the weekly publication, and manages the writing, editing, photography, production and distribution. Urquhart joined the staff of Emory Report as a senior editor in 2006.

Urquhart began her career covering local government, business and human interest features for the Erie Review as a reporter and photographer for Colorado Hometown Newspapers. She has also served as News and Photo Service manager for Philmont Scout Ranch, and helped launch Southeastern Adventures Magazine as senior editor.

She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Tennessee's journalism and public relations program.

As science writer for University Communications, Carol Clark covers the natural and social sciences.

Her background includes reporting for newspapers in Texas and Hawaii, and business publications in Thailand and Singapore. Her free-lance feature articles on subjects ranging from public health efforts in rural Kenya to scuba diving in Honduras have appeared in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Boston Globe, the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times, among many other publications. In Atlanta, she worked as a special projects writer for CNN.com, where her work included major reports on science, the environment and international politics. She was a CDC Knight Public Health Journalism Fellow in 2004.

Clark is a member of the National Association of Science Writers and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, dance and the outdoors.

As designer and associate editor of Emory Report, Christi Gray is responsible for all creative aspects of the faculty and staff newspaper. Gray designs 36 issues annually in print, web and eBlast versions. She also coordinates Emory Report's subscriptions, advertisements, inserts and distribution.

Prior to Emory, Gray was a print production manager and editor in the publications department at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. There she worked on exhibit catalogues and print collateral for over 4 years.

Moving to Atlanta in 1993, Gray went to Georgia State University, where she received a BA in photography with minors in art history and sculpture.

Leslie King writes, edits and proofreads for Emory Report. She also compiles the daily Media Report and assists Media Relations in the distribution of news releases to the media and for www.emory.edu.

King has been a copy editor at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in news and business and at CNN.com and CNN Live; a writer at CNN; a proofreader with Aquent, Inc. for J. Walter Thompson and GO! Productions; and writer/editor for Vee Nelson and Associates Training and Technical Writing. She was associate editor of Industrial Engineering magazine.

She has a degree in journalism from the University of Georgia.
