CEBA 25th and BSA 45th Anniversary Weekend
Friday, September 27 | UNITE: CEBA/BSA Anniversary Welcome and Benefit Reception | DUC Down Under (newly renovated Black Student Union)
The CEBA/BSA Anniversary Weekend kicked off with a reception at the new Black Student Union, located in the DUC Down Under. Alumni re-United with classmates and mingled with current BSA students. Attendees enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, a beer/wine bar, and entertainment. The event helped raise awareness and funds for both the Herman L. Reese Community Service Award and the needs of Emory's black students by supporting the Office of Multicultural Prpgrams and Services.

Saturday, September 28 | EDUCATE: “Black at Emory: Past, Present, and Future” Forum | Harland Cinema
What does being black at Emory mean? At Harland Cinema, attendees discussed the status of the black community from a recruitment, current student, and active alumni perspective, connecting over the shared Emory student experience. The panel was moderated by Jonathan Butler 96C, currently serving as CEBA Atlanta’s Professional Networking Chair. Panelists included Tim Fields, Assistant Dean of Admission, Jovanna Jones 15C, BSA President 2012-2013, Dr. Ajay Nair, Senior Vice President and Dean of Campus Life, Andrea Neal, Program Director, Center for Science Education, and Daniel Shoy, Jr. 95C.

25 years of CEBA and 45 years of BSA is something to CELEBRATE. Attendees honored the past as well as celebrated the future.
Sunday, September 29 | UNITE, EDUCATE, and CELEBRATE: Worship Service | Cannon Chapel
The weekend closed with a worship service featuring Voices of Inner Strength (VOIS) and a celebratory brunch.
This annual luncheon honored distinguished alumni and faculty of Emory College of Arts & Sciences. The 2013 honorees were Paul E. Scott 85C and fellow CEBA member Danny Shoy Jr. 95C, Distinguished Alumni Award, and Laurie Speed Dalton 96C 99L, Young Alumni Service Award.
